Independent procurement coordination
How Cnc Lathe Sourcing owns the briefing, not the spindle
Cnc Lathe Sourcing is an independent sourcing partner for dedicated turning-machine procurement. We rewrite buyer inputs into a common assumption list, request factory wholesale quotes and place inclusions next to exclusions. We do not cut metal, appoint factories, or hold finished machines.
Decision ownership
The buyer owns the workpiece, destination, quantity and plant utilities. Named factories own process feasibility and the written scope of each quotation. This service owns the briefing quality: whether two replies can be read on the same rows.
- Decision ownership: Upstream
- You supply chuck size, bar capacity, spindle speed, connected load if known, bar-fed versus chuck-loaded loading, live-tooling needs, coolant and chip handling, three-phase supply, compressed air, cooling water, footprint, quantity, destination and delivery window. Optional budget (currency and per-unit or whole-order basis) and a buyer preference for documentation depth can travel with the same requirement. Preference is a trade-off, not a verified factory rating. No existing quote is required to start.
- Control boundary
- We do not redesign jaws or guarantee a cycle time. We check whether each factory answered the same envelope and marked tooling, installation, shipping, training and commissioning as included or excluded. Certificates, CE marks, UL listings or ISO files belong to the named supplier and the named machine; they are not credentials of this website. We will not invent a founding year, a plant tour history, or a customer count.
- Downstream
- After replies arrive, you decide which factory to pursue. Any purchase contract is between the buyer and that supplier unless a separate written appointment says otherwise. FAT and SAT obligations follow that contract. This service does not publish warehouse stock or a savings percentage, because this project has no matched total-cost evidence.
Decision ownership is easiest to lose when a brochure cycle time is treated as an acceptance test. Ask who signs the inspection record and who owns turret interference if the longest tool and the largest jaw set are installed together. Those questions stay with the people who run the cell; we only keep them visible on the comparison sheet.
